Adapter Bar for Use with Electra Townie Bike on Swagman XC Cross-Country 2-Bike Rack S64650

Question:

First of all...GREAT PRODUCT for that price! Any recommendation on how to mount a townie low cross bar bike? The ratcheting arm does go all the way down image1, without locking, but the actual ratcheting/locking only goes so low, leaving a two inch gap image2. Please help. And thanks again for a great product! Thanks!

When mounting a bike like an Electra Townie, which can have a very low-slung frame tube, on a platform style rack like the high-value Swagman XC # S64650 you can use a bike adapter bar to make it easier to secure the Townie on the carrier.

Adapter bar # UB01 connects between the seat post and handlebar stem to provide the equivalent of a horizontal top frame tube, as is found on a typical man's bike frame. This give you a perfect substitute mounting point for the XC's ratcheting hooks.

Please refer to the linked video for illustration.
