Installing the Tekonsha Prodigy 2 Brake Controller with Wiring # 90885-3050P on a 2010 Nissan Titan
Question:
I purchased a 2010 Nissan Titan SE Crew that someone installed an aftermarket hitch but no wiring. I did find the 7 way plug behind the bumper and am buying the 7 blade adaptor kit. I am now going to purchase a prodigy 2 trailor brakes but am wondering if I need extra wiring to hook them up or will I have a plug under the dash since there is the 7 way plug behing the bumper? This truck never had a factory installed hitch.

On your 2010 Nissan Titan SE Crew if you have the plug behind the bumper you can use the Valley Factory Style 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Connector, part # N40975. This will give you a 7-way and a 4-Way at the rear of your vehicle. It also comes with the relays that are needed to activate the wiring harness.
Sometimes the vehicle might already have the relays installed. There are some Titans that might require a 4th relay that will have to be purchased from the Nissan Dealer. I am including a link to a video of this connector being installed on a 2004 Nissan Armada. While not the same model as yours, the installation technique is similar.
To install the Tekonsha Prodigy 2 Brake Controller, part # 90885, in your 2010 Nissan Titan you will just need to plug in the one end of the # 3050P wiring harness to the brake controller and the other end to a port that is located underneath and to the left of the steering column. It will be taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
