We can help you get your 2010 Wrangler set with a hitch, wiring and other items for towing.

The hitches made for your Jeep are intended for models with the standard rear bumper. You can see them all on the linked page, but the one I recommend is the highest-capacity model # DT78MR which is rated for 675-lbs tongue weight and 4500-lbs towing. I linked an installation video to show you how it installs and a helpful article is included too. The hitch comes with the hardware you'll use to install it and you do not have to drill anything.

For a 4-pole trailer wiring harness to operate basic trailer lighting you can use part # 118416 which offers easy plug-in installation with no cutting or splicing of wires.

Towing also requires a ball mount and hitch ball. You want to choose a ball mount with the height needed to keep the trailer level when it is hitched up. Trailers handle better when they are level. For a hitch ball you will choose the size needed by the coupler on the trailer, either 1-7/8-inch, 2-inch or 2-5/16-inch.

To help you pick the right ball mount I linked an article that explains how to choose one. I also included our page for all ball mounts that fit your hitch. We have both standard ones and adjustable ones like # 7390 and we also have complete kits like # 989900 which includes 2 ball mounts and 2 hitch balls. You might also want towing mirrors like # KS3891 to help you keep an eye on things behind you.

To help you I included articles with towing basics and tips for safe towing with a Jeep Wrangler.
