Is a Thule T2 Pro X Platform Rack and Draw Tite Max Hitch good for a 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon?
Question:
Your website has been very helpful. I really like the videos and expert questions specific to a vehicle. After reading several comments regarding hitches and bike racks, I have concluded that installing an after factory 2 inch hitch and using a hitch mounted bike rack would be best for my Subaru Outback 3.6R. The trunk has automatic opening and I do not want to put a trunk mount on the gate. I am looking at the Draw Tite Max Frame #75673 hitch and the Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Platform Rack #TH83JV. Just making sure you think these two products will work together and work well for the car.

This combination is a great fit for the 2016 Outback.
The Draw Tite Max Frame, part # 75673 will give a strong base for pulling a number of things including the bicycles and the Thule T2 Pro X Bike Platform Rack, part # TH83GC will provide a good base for multiple bikes.
Additionally, you can expand the T2 Pro X by adding an expansion kit, part # TH55GC, which allows for 4 bikes to be carried rather than just two.
