Right Hand Side Electric Trailer Brake Locks Up with Slightest Pressure on Brake Pedal
Question:
I bought #23-468-469 on 11-9-2015 and have had no problems until now. Now the RH brakes grabs/locks up with the slightest brake pedal application. I have a Trail Lite Bantam rv by R-Vision. I have a proportional brake controller. Ive inspected the exterior wiring and theres no loose connections. What tips do you have before I pull the drum off and inspect the braking mechanism?

It sounds like an internal problem with the brake magnet. The first thing to do is visually inspect the magnets. If you can see the copper windings coming through then the magnets will need to be replaced. To further test the magnets you will need a meter, such as # PT89ZR if you need one, and a 12 volt battery such as a car battery. Then you can follow the help article I have linked for you that shows the amperage and resistance levels you should be seeing for different magnet sizes.
If you determine that you do need new magnets then for Dexter 10 inch brakes # 23-468-469 you will need replacement magnet # BP01-110.
