Why Does Blue Ox Base Plate Kit BX2258 Have Safety Cables
Question:
What is the point of the safety cable in the installation? Other base plates do not have this feature. The base plate seems well bolted in, why a safety cable. Thanks.

Actually most base plate kits have safety cables built into them to attach to the frame. This is designed so if the base plate kits attachment to the frame fails the safety chains will still catch.
