Converting From Electric Drum Brakes to Disc Brakes on 2009 Keystone Raptor 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
I have a 2009 Keystone Raptor RP3814 with electric drum breaks and I would like to convert it over to disk breaks. Do you have a package deal that will work? I have three axels, however I am sure two axels with disk breaks will be way more breaking power than I have now with my drums.

We do have a large selection of disc brake kits currently available.
When converting to hydraulic disc brakes, you will first want to verify the axle capacity on your Raptor 5th-Wheel. I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of disc brake assemblies. You can filter them by the axle capacities they are designed to work with by using the options on the left side of the screen. Keep in mind that when choosing a hub and rotor kit, you will need to make sure the new hub uses the same bearings as your existing units.
For example, the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR526D is designed for 5,200 pound axles and will fit wheel sizes of 15 inches or higher. The hubs use the # 25580 inner bearing and # 15123 outer bearing.
I have also attached a couple of articles that will explain all of the components needed to switch over to hydraulic disc or electric-over-hydraulic disc brakes.
