How Difficult is it to Push Button to Move Ratcheting Hooks on Swagman XC-2?
Question:
I am looking for a bike rack and have a question on the Swagman XC-2. How hard is it to push the push buttons for the hooks? The user has mild arthritis and cannot squeeze very hard on some days.

Expert Reply:
Pushing the buttons that move the ratcheting hooks on the Swagman XC-2 # S64650 will require a bit of force, but nothing overwhelming. I can't say with absolute certainty the difficulty someone with mild arthritis will have, however. If you want to avoid the buttons, there may be another option to take a look at. The Curt # C18085 two-bike rack also has release buttons, but they are easy use.
I have added links to video reviews of each of these products for you to take a look at.
