To choose the correct Weight Distribution (WD) system that has Anti-Sway built into it you will first need to find your Total Tongue Weight (TTW). To find your TTW you will need to take the Tongue Weight (TW) of your fully loaded and ready-to-go trailer and add that to the weight of any cargo that will be sitting behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle (such as a cooler). Once you know what your TTW is you will then want to select a WD system that has a TW range that your TTW falls in the middle of.
Keep in mind that the TW of your trailer should be 10-15% of the Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) of your trailer.
As an example; if your TTW was 675 lbs then you would want to go with a WD system with a TW range that 675 lbs was in the middle of. My favorite WD system to recommend is the Reese Strait-Line WD systems because they work to prevent sway instead of correct it after it has started. If you were to go with one of these systems then you would want to go with part # RP66083 which has a TW range of 400 lbs - 800 lbs.
This system comes with a shank but the hitch ball is sold separately. For a 2 inch Hitch Ball you can use part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch Hitch Ball you can use part # 19286.
I have included a review video and helpful articles for you to check out as well.
