Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Toyota Prius that Doesnt Require Stabilizer Strap

Question:

Our Prius 2017 does not allow a hook to be mounted over the hatch as the glass extends beyond the metal of the hatch, so if we install this hitch for a 2 bike rack, will it require a stabilizing strap or can I trust this without the strap? It will be driven at highway speeds on all kinds of paved roads.

The Draw Tite hitches do not require the stabilizer straps when carrying a bike rack, so for your 2017 Toyota Prius the part # 24966 would be exactly what you would need. It can carry a 2 bike rack without needing the strap.
