Replacement 7-Way Trailer Connector On 2012 Ford Escape
Question:
Morning: have broken off the plug mount cover spring loaded cover and would like to get a replacement if possible. I dont see anything I can use. I had been using a cable tie to hold on the power cord. Thank you. It has the 6 post and its attached to a 2012 Ford Escape 2 w/drive. We live in the Northeast and road chemicals are bad for metals spring.

The replacement 7-way connector I recommend for your 2012 Escape is part # A10-7072VP.
This connector just plugs into the OEM plug at the rear of your Escape. This 7-way has the spring-loaded dust cover to help protect the connector from the elements.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
