Recommended Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch And Installation Kit For 2015 Toyota Tundra

I have 2015 Toyota Tundra 6-1/2foot bed. Please advise what 5th wheel hitch package I need. Are all of them sliding? Is there any advantage to a sliding and does it lock down good?

To be able to make sharp turns with your 2015 Tundra with the 6-1/2 ft bed you will need a sliding fifth wheel hitch. If you have a Revolution or Sidewinder pin box on your trailer, you cannot use a sliding hitch.

The fifth wheel hitch I recommend is the Reese, part # RP30051 . This hitch has a 16,000 lb capacity and double jaws that secure the king pin a full 360 degrees.

The installation kit I recommend for the fifth wheel is part # RP50084-58. No drilling into the truck frame is needed for installation of this kit as it uses the holes that already exist in the truck frame. Because of that, installation time is cut in half versus universal bracket systems.

If you need a 7-way trailer connector in the bed of your truck for your fifth wheel, I recommend part # C56000.
