Brake Controller Recommendation for 2014 Jeep Cherokee with Tow Package
Question:
I am looking at adding a electric brake controller to my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with tow package. My son has been service advisor for Jeep-Dodge-Chrysler-RAM for several years. He is telling me, that I may need a MOPAR specific controller. His experience says that some aftermarket brake controllers dont play well with Jeeps or Ram truck. Are there compatibility issues with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller?

The P3 brake controller part # 90195 is basically the nicest brake controller on the market and will work great on your 2014 Jeep Cherokee with the factory tow package. Since your vehicle has the tow package it basically is wired for having an aftermarket controller installed in it. The P3 is going to perform better than the Mopar controller and will also cost less so it really is the best route to go.
All you need to install it is the install harness part # 3014-P which plugs to the controller and then the port under your dash.
I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
