Brake Controller Port Location in 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie
Question:
Ive looked at your install videos and the location of the factory plug. Mine is not there. I have a Laramie model. Is there a panel that needs to be removed?

Often a brake controller connector will be tucked up pretty high and out of the way, and sometimes it will even be taped to other wiring or other components behind the rear side of the dash. It can definitely be hard to spot them sometimes. There may be a foam wrap or cap on the connector to protect its electrical contacts. The vehicle's trim level, such as the Laramie edition, generally does not affect internal components like wiring parts.
