Locating Cold Side of Brake Light Switch on 2017 Subaru Forester
Question:
Just received the Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller from you but cant figure out which wire to tap into on the brake light switch. Do your contacts at Tekshonsa have the wire color codes for Subaru Forrester 2017?

Based on my research, the brake light switch wire on your 2017 Subaru Forester will be a white/red wire under the dashboard near the brake pedal. I do recommend verifying this with a circuit tester like # PTW2993. You will want to confirm that this wire only shows power when the brake pedal is pressed.
This will be the wire that the red wire from your Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller # TK90160 will connect to.
I have attached the installation details for you to check out.
