Recommended Weight Distribution System With Sway Control For 6600 Lb Travel Trailer
Question:
Wondering what type of a sway bar kit would work best for a 2012 dodge ram 1500 crew cab with an outdoorsman package. Will be soon pulling a 32 foot travel trailer that needs a 2 5/16 ball. Fully loaded around 700 lbs camper dry weight is 6600

It sounds like you are looking for a weight distribution system with sway control for your travel trailer.
The best way to determine what system will work for you is to know what your total tongue weight is. The total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully-loaded-ready-to-tow trailer added to the weight of any cargo you place behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. You will then want to find a system where your total tongue weight falls near the middle of the tongue weight range for the system. Getting a system that is too small will be useless, but getting a system that is too big will result in a stiff, uncomfortable experience.
From the weight you mentioned, and the loaded tongue weight around 700 lbs, your total tongue weight could be around 800 lbs or a little more. The weight distribution system I recommend is the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET. This system is designed to work with tongue weight between 600 and 1,000 lbs. This system includes the adjustable shank and a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball along with all of the needed hardware.
You will also need a thin-walled socket like part # EQ70-00-4800 that makes it easier to install the hitch ball to the weight distribution head.
