Recommended Base Plate Kit and Other Parts to Flat Tow a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
Question:
I have a roadmaster falcon 5250 tow system and need a bracket for a 2017 grand Cherokee Laredo. Will the ez5 work. My old hero has a crossbar attachment but it looks like the ez5 would eliminate that piece. Thanks

The Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit # RM-521440-5 is a fit for your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and will also work with your Falcon tow bar. You will not need the crossbar with this kit.
If you don't already have them you'll also need safety cables, wiring, a braking system, and likely a high-low adapter to flat tow the Jeep.
The safety cables I recommend at # RM-643. They're coiled which helps keep them off of the ground.
To power the Jeep's lights I suggest the diode kit # RM-15267. This will use the vehicle's tail lights by connecting to the RV's and includes the cord to go between the two.
For a supplemental braking system the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 is a favorite around here because of how reliable it is and it's easier to install than many other permanently installed systems. You'll need a Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751449 as well.
Finally, you'll likely need a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop your setup requires. I've also linked our selection of adapters for you to look at once you know what you need.
