Is the seat easily removable for solo rides, leaving the hardware on the back?

The Seat Post Mounting Adapter for Thule Yepp Maxi Child Bike Seat part # TH12020401 is secured to the back of your seatpost by two brackets and 4 bolts. You have two options to remove the child seat from the bike, both of which are very simple. The first way to remove the child seat would involve loosening the 4 bolts from the bracket using the supplied allen key. Once loose, you can remove each of the bolts by hand and slide the child seat off once the backing plates are removed.

The other option you have to remove the child bike seat involves loosening the bolts that attach the bracket to the bike seat, then removing the seat (if applicable) and slide the carrier off.
