Can you please tell me how wide the space of the hooks is for above product? IOW how wide of a tube can each side support?

I went to our warehouse and measured the two ends of the SportRack Bike Adapter Bar # SR0500. I found that the openings are 2-1/8-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch long so a bike seat post or handlebar stem up to 2-1/8-inches wide can be accommodated and will allow the bike to be carried on a standard hanging style bike carrier.

According to SportRack, the capacity of their Frame Adapter Bar #SR0500 is 35 lbs. I've checked with our other bike rack manufacturers such as Thule, Yakima, Kuat and Swagman among others, and have found that the 35 lb capacity is typical.…
