Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2013 Ram 1500 to Tow 8,200 Pound Trailer
Question:
Hello- I am looking for something similar to Part Number 13333 but with the ability to tow 8200 lbs without a weight distribution hitch. Its for a 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 QuadCab if that makes any difference.

The trailer hitch receivers that install in the same fashion as the Curt # 13333 on your 2013 Ram 1500 do not have the weight capacity you're looking for unless you use a weight distribution hitch. However, we do have other receivers that will work.
To tow that much weight you need a hitch like the Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 75232. It has a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds and will fit your Ram as long as you don't have the factory hitch already. Installation does require some drilling. I've linked the install details as well as a video for you.
If you also need a wiring harness part # C59496 is confirmed to work on your truck. This will provide you with a 4-way trailer connector. If you need a 7-way because the trailer has brakes you can convert the 4-way to a 7-way using our # ETBC7 kit.
We recommend using a weight distribution system when the trailer weighs more than 50 percent of the tow vehicle. This may be an option to consider.
