Why Cant a Regular Gooseneck Coupler Lock be Used on a Reese Goose Box Adapter
Question:
What does this statement mean? Traditional gooseneck coupler locks will not work on the Goose Box. A wheel lock should be used instead. I have a 2012 Dodge Ram cab/chasis with a Deweze bed, Deweze is a flatbed with a recessed pin

The Reese Goose Box adapters such as # RP85FR don't have a straight down-tube like a traditional gooseneck coupler so the locks for regular gooseneck couplers, such as # BLTL-53-40D2, will not work. They cannot grab onto the coupler like they are supposed to.
To secure the trailer a wheel lock such as # WI490 or # RA-25 or something similar is recommended instead. I have linked some videos on these locks for you.
