What Aluminum Trailer Rim Sizes Will Accept a 215/74-14 Trailer Tire

Question:

I have a 2004 nitro it has 14x6j crome wheels with st215/75r14 tires do you think they will work on my trailer. would like to have aluminum wheels .I think my tires are 6in wide these are 5and half wide

If you look at just a 215/75-14 trailer tire, like # AM1ST90 or # AM10229, they will fit on a 14 x 6 inch rim. According to our resident tire expert, the smallest rim you could use with this tire size would be a 14 x 5-1/2 inch. All of the 14 x 5-1/2 inch aluminum wheels we carry have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. So you can use the 215/75-14 on a 14 x 5-1/2 or 14 x 6 inch trailer wheel.
