Tekonsha PowerTrac Brake Controller Indicator Light Not Coming On when Using Manual Override
Question:
I installed this on my 2012 honda ridgeline with factory 7 way plug. The light is coming on when I apply the brakes, but the manual slider isnt doing anything.

The Tekonsha PowerTrac brake controller # 39523 is supposed to send back power to whatever it is set to when you use the manual override. So the first thing to check is the output level. If it is turned all the way down that could be the problem.
The indicator light will be green when a trailer is connected and turn to red when the brake pedal or manual override is activated. If there is no trailer connected the light will either be off or it will flash red.
If none of these are the issue then the only remaining cause is a problem inside the controller and it will need to be replaced.
