There are a couple of ways to wire in a brake controller on your 2003 GMC Savana Van and it depends on if the van has a factory 7-Way trailer connector or not.
First, if it does have a factory 7-Way trailer connector the blue brake output wire will already be ran from the front of the van to the back. It should be located under the dash near the emergency brake pedal. The blue wire goes to the blue wire on the brake controller, in this case the P3 # 90195, and the other end to the 7 o'clock position on the back of the 7-Way trailer connector. The rest of the wiring for the controller will need to be hardwired in using kit # 5506.
If the van does NOT have a factory 7-Way then you will start by adding a 4-Way flat connector using # 118392. Once that is installed you can then install # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way and the wiring needed to install the brake controller. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation and parts of those links will also help with the brake controller wiring if your van does already have a factory 7-Way.
