How to Measure Spindle to Find Compatible Replacement Trailer Hub

Question:

I am looking for a 4 bolt hub that can replace the one I currently have. The spindle is tapered, and uses different size bearings on the inside and outside. Inside bearing is L44649 and outer bearing is LM11749. Thanks.

We do not have any hubs that use inner bearing L44649 and outer bearing LM11749. This may be an older agricultural type hub.

We may still be able to find you a hub if you can measure your spindles very precisely with a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to the nearest thousandth, like 1.234-inches. The linked diagram shows you points C and D where the inner and outer bearings ride on the spindle. Point B provides you with the inner diameter of the grease seal you'll need and the hubs inner bore diameter on the back gives you the seals's required outer diameter.

With these precise measurements we can check to see if we have a hub/bearing kit that will work.
