Availability of 13-Pin to 4-Pin Adapter for a 2008 Land Rover Configured for European Standards
Question:
Hello, I have a 2008 Land Rover LR2 with a standard European 13-pin trailer light hook-up. Now back in the states, Id like to get a 13 to 4-pin adapter without having to do a complete rewire. Is there such an adapter out there? Thanks!

Unfortunately there is no 13 to 4-pin adapter. You will need to do some splicing to get the correct functions wired to a 4-pin for your trailer.
I recommend using the 4-Pole Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # C59496 for your 2008 Land Rover LR2. This kit splices into your vehicle wiring and is powered by running the included Black wire up to your battery. This ensures that your trailer will not be drawing too much power from your Land Rover tail lights. You can use a circuit tester like # PTW2992 to connect the appropriate wiring from your 13-pin to the following wires on the Curt Converter:
Red Wire - Brake Lights
Yellow Wire - Left Turn Signal
Green Wire - Right Turn Signal
Brown Wire - Tail Lights/Running Lights
White Wire - Ground
