The only hitch receivers available for your 2012 Kia Forte are Class I. I have a few recommendation that will allow you to carry 4 bikes with your Forte but the maximum number of bikes that can be carried on a Class I hitch receiver is two.

In order to haul 4 bikes with your vehicle, you will need to use either a hitch mounted bike rack with roof mounted bike rack or a truck mounted bike rack with roof mounted bike rack.

For a hitch receiver that will work well with your vehicle, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11434 if you do not already have one. You will also need a hitch mounted bike rack like the Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack part # TH9058 as this is a very popular, well designed bike rack. To carry the additional two bikes, I recommend a roof mounted bike rack such as the SeaSucker Mini Bomber part # 298-BM2006 as this is the only option that will allow you to haul bikes on the roof of your vehicle without the need for a roof rack.

The other option you have that will allow you to haul four bikes on your vehicle involves the use of a trunk mounted bike rack and roof mounted bike rack. For this you will need a trunk mounted bike rack like the Thule Passage part # TH911XT which is capable of housing three bikes therefore, you will only need to store one of the bikes on the roof of the vehicle. You can do this by using the SeaSucker Talon Roof Bike Rack part # 298-BT1004.

For both the Thule Vertex and the Thule Passage, you may want to consider the Thule Bike Adapter Bar part # TH982XT to transport womens and childrens bikes at a level position. I have attached a review video for each of my recommendations for you.
