Will a Trailer Hitch Receiver Reduce Ground Clearance for a 2015 Volvo XC60
Question:
Does the Draw Tite or Hidden Hitch for a 2015 Volvo XC60 decrease the ground clearance for the vehicle?

Unless you have a vehicle that needs the fascia cut out to make room for the receiver, any hitch that is installed on your vehicle will reduce the ground clearance. This is the same case for your 2015 Volvo XC60. I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75671 which is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver.
It has a Gross Towing Weight (GTW) of 4,000 lbs and a Tongue Weight (TW) of 400 lbs. When used with a Weight Distribution (WD) system those capacities are increased to 4,500 lbs and 450 lbs respectively.
If you plan on towing you will also need a wiring harness like part # 118739, and a ball mount and hitch ball like the ones that come in the Ball Mount Kit # 989900. You will need to make sure that the ball mount that you choose has the correct Rise or Drop for your application. I have attached a helpful article that gives more information on that.
If you will be using it for an accessory, such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, just let me know what you are looking for and I will be happy to make some recommendations for you.
I have attached some videos that you can check out as well.
