Does Installing Prodigy RF Brake Controller Require Finding Stoplight Circuit
Question:
I am planning to use this controller for a 2007 Lexus RX400. Where do I tap into the vehicle to get the brake signal? I see you have the 4 to 7 way adapter listed but it doesnt explain where to connect to the brake light.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Prodigy RF brake controller part # TK94FR does not require you to locate the stop light circuit on your vehicle like most controllers do. Since it installs on your trailer it is designed to interpret your trailer lighting functions and know when the brakes are being applied and activate accordingly.
All you need is a 7-way with functioning taillight circuits and a functional 12 volt power circuit and you would be set.
