Recommended Gooseneck Hitch and Automatic Slider for 2015 Ford F-250 Short Bed

Question:

Looking at purchasing the Reese Elite Series Under Bed Gooseneck RP 30138-26. Compatible with RP-30156 ? Also would like to use a DEMCO auto-sliding hitch ? My vehicle is a 2015 Ford F-250 Superduty - Crew Cab, 4x4, Short Bed, 6.2L engine, 10,000 GVW.

The Reese Elite Series Under-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # RP30138-26 is confirmed to fit your 2015 Ford F-250 short bed if you do not have the factory rail kit. This will allow you to pull gooseneck hitches and provides a gross towing weight of 25,000 pounds.

You can then use the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter # RP30156 referenced in your question to provide industry-standard, above-bed base rails for standard 5th wheel hitches. This adapter is in fact compatible with the Reese Elite Under-Bed Gooseneck Hitch.

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550034 will work great with the standard, above-bed base rails that the Reese Adapter provides. The automatic slider will provide 14 inches of travel without having to get out of your truck. The wraparound, single-piece jaw will reduce rattle and offer more security when compared to standard slide-bar jaws. This has a 18,000 pound gross towing weight and 4,500 pound vertical load limit.
