Recommended Electric Steps For 1994 Georgie Boy Pursuit And Flat Tow Setup For 2001 Honda Civic EX

Question:

FIRST I need to replace the step on my 1994 Georgie Boy Pursuit 32foot motorhome. I ripped the step and the whole step box for the interior step out of my motorhome when I hit a concrete barrier. Had an automatic electric step but dont know if I should go with same, or a manual step. what are your recommendations. SECOND I have a 2001 Honda civic EX and I would like to tow 4 down. Again, your recommendations please.

For your 1994 Georgie Boy Pursuit, I recommend the Lippert Components Kwikee 32 Series Double Tread Electric Step # LC372261. The mounting patterns on motorhome steps vary, so you will need to make sure they match. The mounting bolt pattern of these steps are 8 x 22 inches. These steps have a 7 inch rise and a 9 inch run with a tread width of 24 inches. The motor, control unit and switch kit is included.

For your flat towing setup for your 2001 Honda Civic EX, I recommend starting with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Fixed Arms # BX2222. I suggest using Loctite Threadlocker 262 - High Strength - Up to 3/4" Nuts/Bolts - 0.20-Fl-Oz Tube # LT37420 for this installation.

For a tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar - Motor Home Mount - 6,500 lbs # BX7380 which comes with the safety cables needed. I also recommend the Blue Ox Base-Plate and Receiver Lock Kit - Qty 3 # BX88101 to secure your tow bar to your base plates and to the hitch.

For your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will allow you to utilize the factory wiring of your vehicle and give you a clean connection on the front of your Civic. The coiled connecting wire keeps the wire clean and tight.

For your supplemental braking, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 which is our installation team's favorite. It is adjusted at installation and then need no further adjusting. It becomes a plug and play system that doesn't need anything further.

The last thing you will need for your system is a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to assist you in choosing the correct adapter for your application. I've also linked the page of all your options to assist.
