does this model work while driving down the road or is it just for backup only?

The rear view camera function on the Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System part # FOS43TASF can be setup to run continuously or only when a certain function of the vehicle is activated, such as while reversing. This will all depend on which circuit you wire the power to on the monitor.

For example, in order to use the camera only while in reverse, you will want to attach the power wire to the vehicle's reverse circuit. In order for the monitor to operate continuously, you will need to tap into a circuit on the vehicle that has continuous power once the vehicle is powered on.

Thank you. FYI on mine when I hooked it up the Furrion Pos & Neg wires on the camper harness were swapped so the camera wouldn't work. All is fine now. Really appreciate your company and advice! Very helpful!
