The Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount # TH911XT is a confirmed fit for your 2008 Toyota Prius Touring. To install you will place top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk hatch and place lower clips in the bottom edge of trunk hatch. The lower arm of the carrier will rest on the bottom of the license plate well.
I recommend using the Thule Passive Security Strap for Trunk Mounted Bike Carriers # TH533 to secure the rack to your vehicle when your trunk is locked. I also recommend the 10' Long Cable Lock # e98891.
For hanging style racks like this, I recommend the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005. This creates a top frame rail between the seat post and handlebars for level transport and proper ground clearance.
