Recommended Trunk Mounted Bike Carrier Compatible With 2016 RAV4 Hybrid With Spoiler

My hybrid has an automatic trunk door and will not close if it thinks something is in the way. Will this rack cause this? What makes this rack different from other racks that it will fit over the spoiler without putting pressure in it and possible breaking it?

The automatic trunk door of your 2016 RAV4 hybrid will not be effected by the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # Y02634. The sensors will not see the clips as an interference so your hatch will close correctly.

I have attached a video of an older model of this rack on the similar RAV4 with a spoiler. The way this rack installs over the spoiler doesn't take all the weight off of the spoiler, just the angle of your connection straps will not harm your spoiler when installed correctly.
