Is a Trailer Hitch Available for a Bike Rack on a 2018 Toyota C-HR?
Question:
I just purchased a new 2018 Toyota C-HR and would like to put a trailer hitch on it to hold a 2 bike bike rack. Not sure what Toyota thinks about this. Will have to discuss warranty issues with them. Do you have a rack that will properly fit?

There is no trailer hitch available for your 2018 Toyota C-HR at the moment, but I did take a look at the owner's manual, and while it does not mention the warranty, it does say the installation of a tow hitch is not recommended.
If it turns out a hitch will have an impact on the warranty, that does not mean you won't be able to transport bikes; in fact there is one immediate option for you in the form of the SeaSucker Mini Bomber Roof 2 Bike Rack, # 298-BM2006. This is a fork-mounted carrier which uses vacuum cups with straps to secure the rear tires of your bikes.
Depending on your bike, you may need to replace the fork mount with a wheel holder, # 298-BA1370, though if you have a bike with a 15 mm front hub (typically mountain bikes) you would need the MTB Plugs and Skewer, # 298-BV1028. I have added links to video reviews of the SeaSucker to give you a visual representation of how it works.
There may be more bike rack options for you in the future, but because your car is so new, manufacturers have not had a chance to test fit their products on your vehicle. I have added a link to the 2018 Toyota C-HR fit guide page for you if you want to return at a later date and check out the possible fits.
