Parts Needed to Add a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder with a 4-Way Connector
Question:
Having a hard time locating the 7pin connector on the passenger side of my vehicle. The car currently has a 4 pin trailer hitch connector and we would like to upgrade. Any videos that walk through the process?

You won't find a 7-pin connector on your 2004 Nissan Pathfinder because the only trailer wiring connectors it has are connectors behind the tail lights to install a 4-way trailer connector.
Since you already have a 4-way you can convert it to a 7-way by installing our # ETBC7 kit. This uses the existing 4-way you have for the running, brake, and turn signals and includes all of the wiring and parts for the rest of the 7-way functions.
The only additional part you'll need for a fully functioning 7-way is an electric brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195. I've linked a video of the P3 being installed in a 2001 Nissan Xterra with our # ETBC7 kit.
If you don't need the rest of the functions of the 7-way to work but just need the connector at the rear of your Pathfinder instead you can use # 37185. It plugs into your 4-way and then you can cap off the other wires that you aren't using. Then mount it to the Nissan using # 18140.
