Parts Needed to Install Electric Brake Controller in a 2001 Ford F-150 with Factory 7-Way Connector
Question:
I have a 2001 f150 supercrew. with factory 7 pin connector. I am trying to find what I need to add an electronic brake, and if I need relays, and/or fuses. How do I know? where do i check? when i enter my vehicle info, it does not show me the relays, and fuses in kits like other models.

Since your 2001 Ford F-150 has a factory 7-way trailer connector it's already wired for an electric brake controller to be installed. There's a connector under the dash that the controller will plug directly into with a vehicle specific adapter. The connector is located right behind the diagnostic port in your truck. The picture I've attached shows the connector.
I recommend using the Prodigy P3 # 90195 for the brake controller. It's the top of the line with an LCD and 5 storable settings. Also, use the wring adapter # 3035-P to plug it in under your dash into the connector I mentioned.
I've linked a video of the P3 being installed using the adapter in a 2004 F-150.
