Which Fifth-Wheel Hitch to use with a Reese Revolution Pin Box on a 2014 F-350 6-3/4 Foot Bed?

Question:

I recently purchased a new Rockwood 5th wheel trailer that comes stock with a Reese Revolution pin box. The new 5th wheel dry weight is 9200 lbs. My truck is a 2014 F-350 diesel with a 6 3/4 foot bed. I have the underbed rail system for the 5th wheel hitch. What would be the best hitch that would work for my set up with the new trailer with the Reese Revolution pin box?

The fifth-wheel hitch I recommend you install in your 2014 Ford F-350 is the Reese M5 Series, # RP30921. This is a fixed-mount hitch which mounts into your 2014 Ford F-350's existing factory rails via the pucks in your truck's bed. Normally your short bed F-350 would need a sliding fifth-wheel, but the Revolution pin box is a Sidewinder, so a slider is not necessary. you will need the # RP44FR wedge kit.

The Reese M5 has a self-latching jaw to limit rattle, offers a gross towing weight of 20,000lbs, a vertical load limit of 5,000 lbs and a hitch height ranging from 14 to 18 inches.

I have included a link to a video review of this product for you to take a look at.
