For your 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2" # C14020. This is the only trailer hitch receiver confirmed to fit your truck that will not require a weight distribution system for the trailer weight you will be hauling. It has a 10,000 lb capacity without or a 12,000 lb capacity with a weight distribution system.

Another option is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13326. This trailer hitch receiver has a capacity of 10,000 lbs towing rating and a 1,000 lb tongue weight rating when using weight distribution, but it cannot carry the weight of your camper without a WD system as it is only rated for 5,000 lbs without it.

If you don't already have trailer wiring, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55504. If your trailer has brakes you will need to use the Universal Brake Contoller wiring kit # ETBC7 and then add a brake controller.

If you have the factory 7 way, you may need the Multi-Plug T-One Connector Assembly for 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 20135 if it needs to be replaced. For a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 90885 along with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Dodge # 3020-P. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. If you don't have the factory 7-way, this will need to be hardwired with the # ETBC7 kit.

For a ball mount, I recommend the Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ball Mount # C45900. This comes with a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch hitch ball and will allow you to adjust the height for level towing. I recommend using a hitch lock like the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # C23519 to secure your investment.
