Per the manufacturer, you can both flat and dolly tow a two wheel drive 2008 Ford Edge. If you have the all wheel drive model, you can only use a flat towing setup. For both the two and four wheel drive models, I recommend flat towing your vehicle with four wheels down as this will be the best option for frequent uses.

For a flat towing setup you will first need a base plate kit such as the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit part # 4408-1. The Roadmaster base plate kit has a removable arm feature for a more aesthetically pleasing look while not in use. You will also need a tow bar like the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520. For a set of safety cables, I would use the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook part # RM-643. You will also want a wiring harness such as the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit part # HM56000 in addition to a supplemental braking system like the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO part # SM99251.

In order to connect the vehicle's brake light wiring harness to your RV's trailer connector, you will also want the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter part # PK12716 in addition to the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit part # RM-88400 which is also recommended.

I have attached review and installation videos on the following products for your viewing.
