Will Curt or Swagman Platform Bike Rack Allow Rear Hatch of 2016 Jeep Cherokee to Open with Bikes on

Hi. I purchased Curt trailer hitch C13172 for 16 Jeep Trailhawk. Will curt bike rack-C18084 work with this hitch? Will the hatch open with bikes are mounted? Does Swagman XC-S64650 hitch open when bikes are mounted? Thanks!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13172 is confirmed to fit your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I've linked an install video for you.
The Curt Platform Bike Rack # C18085 will fit with the Curt hitch receiver. We've tested it on a Cherokee with the 4-bike setup and there is enough clearance to open the rear hatch. See the video I've linked on a 2017 Cherokee.
The Swagman XC # S64650 will also work well on the Curt receiver. However, this isn't a tilting rack so the Jeep's hatch cannot be opened with the bikes on the rack. With the bikes not installed the rack does fold up so the hatch can then be opened.
