Will Firestone Ride-Rite Springs # F2071 From A 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Fit A 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4
Question:
I currently have this air bag kit on my 1996 ram 2500. I want to install them on my 2007 Ram 2500 4x4. The 07 does not have helper springs. Is there a bracket kit that can be purchased to make this conversion?

The Firestone air springs you will need for a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 is the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Kit, part # F2299. This kit is designed for 2003 to 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 2wd and 4wd models.
The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Kit, part # F2071, will NOT fit the 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4. It is designed to fit 1994 to 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 2wd and 4wd models.
The air spring design is different and the mounting brackets are different in the two kits, so there is not a bracket kit that can be used to convert the older air springs to the newer vehicle. The factory overload springs do not cause a problem on either one of the kits. Both of the Firestone kits will fit Dodge Ram vehicles with or without factory overload springs.
