Will T-One 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 118341 Fit a 1999 Toyota 4Runner without Factory Tow Package

Question:

Will the 118341 work for 1999 4runner that did not have a factory tow package and if so will it come with instructions to install as a retrofit?

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, # 118341, is designed to fit all models of the 1999 Toyota 4Runner. It does come with installation instructions which I have linked to for you to review. The connection points are located behind the interior trim panels behind each taillight. The 4-pole trailer connector will be stowed in the rear cargo area when not in use.

You may be able to route the 4-Way through the bottom of the cargo area and out under the vehicle through an existing grommet if present. After passing the wires through you will want to make sure to seal up the hole with silicone sealant. You can then route the 4-Way to the rear of the vehicle and mount it using a mounting bracket like # 18144, with # 18140 for a professional look.
