Timbren Suspension Enhancement Fit for 2016 Ram 2500

Question:

Hello, I have a 2016 ram 2500 4x4 cummins. It has a payload of 2380lbs I believe. I am looking at purchasing a fifth wheel that has a pin weight of 2270lbs. I was thinking about purchasing a set of timbrens to help with the suspension sag. Would this help my payload or do you think that this fifth wheel would be too heavy for my truck? Thanks

Expert Reply:

You'd have to look at the total weight of the trailer and compare that to the GCWR of the vehicle to determine if the vehicle has the needed capacity, but realistically a Timbren would help.

For that you'd need the Timbren kit part # TDR2500D which is confirmed as a fit for your Ram 2500. This will give you additional suspension support so that you can tow your trailer without sagging suspension. Check the the overall weight capacity of your truck and then check the overall weight of the trailer and you'll be able to determine if you have the needed capacity.
