How To Install The Derale Universal Drain Plug Kit for Transmission Pan Coolers # D13010
Question:
Does this require any welding once it is installed

Expert Reply:
The Derale Universal Drain Plug Kit for Transmission Pan Coolers, part # D13010, does not require any welding. It will replace your existing drain plug. It is installed on your transmission pan cooler by inserting the adapter, with the nylon washer installed, in to the hole on your transmission cooler. Then, it would be tightened down to the transmission pan with the jam nut. See the picture to the right that will show how it is installed.
With the drain plug kit installed you can then insert a temperature sending unit (not included) into the adapter and be able to monitor the temperature of your transmission fluid.
If you are needing a gauge to monitor the transmission fluid temperature that will install on this drain plug kit # D13010, you can use the Derale Temperature Gauge Kit, part # D13009. This kit will include a gauge and the temperature sensor.
