Will an Adjustable Ball Mount Work with a Ram 1500 with a Four-Inch Lift Kit?
Question:
My Ram 1500 has a four-inch lift kit on it, will # 3371802225 be correct for my truck? Thanks

For a Ram 1500, the Buyers Products Adjustable Tri-Ball Mount, # 3371802225, will give you nearly six inches of drop and may work for your vehicle, but you are going to need to measure to make sure.
To figure out which rise or drop you will need, first park your Ram and trailer on level ground. From there, measure from the ground to the top of the trailer hitch receiver on the Ram. Then measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on the trailer. You will need a ball mount with drop if the hitch height is greater, or rise if the coupler height is greater.
You will want a ball mount whose rise or drop measurement is closest to the difference between the hitch and coupler. So if you have a seven-inch difference, you will want the MaxxTow # MT70068. If the difference is closer to 10 inches, the Convert-a-Ball # TK5007 should be your choice. Unlike the Tri-Ball Mount, neither of the latter two come with hitch balls, so you would need one such as the Tow Ready # 63845.
Take a look at the link to FAQ's on ball mounts I have attached which will go over this process for you.
