Expert Reply:
If the LED trailer lights have a dim glow even when the tow vehicle is not running, that is common. Light circuits can carry a small amount of current even when the towing vehicle is turned off.
If you have the trailer hooked up for extended periods you may want to just unplug the trailer harness and that would stop the lights from lighting up.
Another way to stop the LEDs from glowing is to install an adapter like part # C57003. The resistors in the adapter will prevent the low-level current from illuminating the LED lights on your trailer.
A third option would be to install load resistors like part # DI34ZR. This package has two resistors. You would install them in line between the trailer connector on the trailer and the lights that are glowing.
