For your 2017 Honda HR-V with all wheel drive, you will not be required to trim the underbody panel when installing the Curt Class I Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C11416 referenced in your question. This installation step is only needed on vehicles that have front wheel drive. Just note that the exhaust will need to be temporarily lowered during installation.

This Class I trailer hitch has a 200 pound tongue weight capacity and 2,000 pound towing weight capacity. I have attached an installation video on a 2016 Honda HR-V for you to check out.

Curt requires that all non-trailer loads such as bike racks and cargo carriers be supported with stabilizing straps like # 18050. Failure to do this will void the hitch warranty from the manufacturer. I have attached a video demonstration on this product so you can see how they work.
