The Replacement Hardware Kit for Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-014PK referenced in your question is designed to replace the hardware for the Westin Grille Guard # 40-0145 and 45-0140. These Grille Guards are custom-fit for your 2000 Dodge Dakota, but I cannot be certain that this is the model that you have.

Grille Guards like these are designed for specific vehicles and the installation hardware will be brand specific. If you have the 40-0145 or 45-0140 Westin Grille Guard, then this replacement hardware kit will work perfectly.

When installing the Grille Guard, you will first remove the plastic spoiler beneath the front bumper if one is present, then loosen the two factory nuts directly behind the bumper. You will attach the frame mounting brackets using the factory nuts. I have attached the installation instructions for you to look through.
