Parts Needed to Convert Lippert 7k Axles to Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Question:
looking at changing out from electric brakes to electric over hydraulics. 7k axles, trying to figure out what is all needed, this trailer is very heavy when loaded and needs to stop. wonder what all is needed to complete this project for this trailer. it being pulled by 2012 f350. do you sell the complete kit for the 2 axles or do you recommend doing just one of the axles? thank you

For the disc brake assemblies you would want the Kodiak 7k disc brake kit part # K2HR712D. This is confirmed as a fit for your Lippert 7k axles and is Dacromet coated which will prevent corrosion. You'll need two sets of these. One for each axle.
Then for an electric over hydraulic actuator kit we recommend the Hydrastar brand the highest since it has the quickest reaction time and is the most reliable. For a kit that has all the tandem brake lines needed plus a breakaway system you would want the part # CAR-HBA16-2.
With those two part numbers you'd have everything you'd need aside from a brake controller compatible with this style of brakes. For tha the Prodigy P2 part # 90885 would be a great option. Not every controller out there is compatible with this style of brakes but the P2 is.
